Alexa Mayer-Bosse is Lead Nature-Based Risk Solutions at Munich Re. She has been with the company for over 25 years, during which she has occupied various responsible roles. As a senior underwriter in Munich Re’s Global Markets division, she specialises in assessing production risks with a focus on forestry, carbon, and parametric insurance. Given that climate risks are one of the most significant threats to timber and agricultural production, it is vital to implement professional and comprehensive risk management strategies. These tasks require the use of advanced remote sensing technologies. She holds an MBA, and her family owns a small farm and forest north of Munich.
