Forestry Australia’s NSW Committee would like to invite you to come for a guided tour of the Belmont Timber frame and truss plant along with a presentation of the design process of timber framed buildings.

The tour has been arranged to provide attendees an up-to-date demonstration of the steps to produce buildings from the sawn timber supplied by domestic softwood sawmills. The tour has been arranged while Belmont Timber is in operation.

Presenters:

  • Mr Gary Walker, Managing Director of Belmont Timber (NSW) will guide attendees through the plant while in operation. He will explain his supply of domestic sawn softwood timber and how this blends with the demand for frames and trusses to supply the building industry.
  • Mr Tim Rossiter, BE (Civ) (Hons) General Manager Building Solutions Asia Pacific, of MiTek will show how his company’s engineering design expertise and range of fixing and connector products can provide a one-stop-shop for all prefabricated timber designs. He will explain the relationship between Belmont Timber and final prefabricated timber products.
