Dr Eleanor Tew

Biography:

Eleanor is Head of Forest Planning for Forestry England, providing strategic leadership on forest planning, resilience and natural capital across England’s public forests. She has a PhD from the University of Cambridge in natural capital optimisation and has been involved in Forestry England’s world-leading natural capital accounts for a decade. Her work includes the operationalisation of natural capital approaches, translating strategic ecosystem service valuations into local, practical decisionS. Eleanor represents Forestry England in the ISFC’s international project to harmonise global forestry natural capital accounts. She is a Chartered Forester, Sylva Foundation Trustee and Academic Visitor at Cambridge’s Conservation Science Group.
