WEBINAR | Modern Tree Breeding – A quiet achiever with huge upside

Timber is the ultimate renewable and forestry is a net carbon positive sector. Growth of the sector is critical to meeting the climate challenge and is dependent on increased investment in transformational research and innovation that is rapidly adopted by the sector. Australian tree breeding programs have a strong reputation for innovation, adoption and value creation and are a major driver of the sector value and competitiveness. In this webinar Dr Josquin Tibbits will highlight major innovations adopted by tree breeders over the past 25 years and discuss impacts on plantation productivity and quality, as well as look forward to the current innovation space and its potential future impact in the sector.
