Trevor Howard

Biography:
Trevor Howard is the National Manager, Prescribed Burning Strategy, at the Australasian Fire and Emergency Service Authorities Council.  Based at the DFES Bushfire Centre of Excellence in Western Australia, Trevor leads national capability development for prescribed burning.  Commencing in forestry in 1975, Trevor’s career has included operational and senior roles in land management agencies and rural fire services across Western Australia, Queensland, New South Wales and the Northern Territory.  He has extensive experience in working with traditional owners across northern Australia.  Trevor has degrees in anthropology, agriculture and rangeland management and is Vice President of the International Association of Wildland Fire.
