Forests & Natural Capital Summit 2027

Tuesday 18 – Wednesday 19 May 2027
Rendezvous Hotel Melbourne, Victoria

Forestry Australia invites you to join us for the Forests & Natural Capital Summit 2027.

Interest and investment in natural capital has the potential to reshape the future of forests, landscapes and investment. This two-day Summit brings together forest scientists, First Nations knowledge holders, landholders, policymakers and investors to explore how Australia can build credible, science-based forest related natural capital investment opportunities that provide nature-positive and low-carbon solutions to some of our most pressing challenges.

The program covers the concepts underpinning forest natural capital including restoration, active and evidence-based management, biodiversity and ecosystem services, alongside investment opportunities, policy settings, and integrity challenges across carbon and natural capital markets, and the science needed to measure and verify outcomes.

Through discussion and the showcasing of case studies from around the world, participants will explore how forests can deliver returns for investors while supporting regional communities, resilient landscapes and long-term environmental stewardship.

The Summit will provide an opportunity to share knowledge, build connections and explore how active, evidence-based forest management can deliver environmental, economic and social benefits.

Join us in Melbourne on 18–19 May 2027
