

Dr Stephen Roxburgh
Biography:
Dr Stephen Roxburgh is a recognised leader in terrestrial plant ecology and greenhouse gas accounting, with over 20 years experience in the field measurement and computer modelling of forest growth and carbon cycling. He joined CSIRO in 2008 where he leads a team of researchers investigating forest growth, carbon sequestration, macroecological modelling, and environmental and natural capital accounting. Stephen works closely with the Australian government to develop robust methods for greenhouse gas accounting, with a focus on carbon sequestration in planted and native vegetation. He has published over 150 scientific papers and reports.
