Biography:

Matt Weaver leads Howden’s Climate Risk & Resilience practice in the Pacific region. As a Fellow of the Faculty of Actuaries (UK), Matt brings over 16 years of diverse experience in insurance, reinsurance, catastrophe and climate analytics, product development, pricing, innovation, and alternative risk transfer. Matt focuses on solving clients’ problems by challenging traditional insurance norms to create tailored products that mitigate risks in the carbon and nature markets. Matt is passionate about utilising insurance as an enabler for investment and harnesses the insurance industry’s intelligence to demonstrate the returns associated with investing in resilience
