Trained as a lawyer, she specialised in corporate law and governance before transitioning into policy advisory roles, including as a political adviser to federal and state agriculture ministers.
Having grown up in a low-rainfall region, Sara understands firsthand the importance of pragmatic, outcomes-driven policy settings that balance environmental sustainability with economic resilience. She is a strong advocate for Australia’s leadership in global climate and forestry discussions, including at COP, where she has advocated for the recognition of the vital role of sustainable forestry in meeting net-zero targets.
