HVP Plantations and the Forestry Australia Scholarship Fund are delighted to offer a scholarship for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student to undertake the Graduate Certificate of Forestry program in 2026 and 2027. HVP Plantations and Forestry Australia are proud to support this scholarship as part of our commitment to fostering greater diversity and inclusion in the forest management profession and to creating opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to build skills and leadership.

What’s on offer
The scholarship is valued at $38,000 – $26,000, covering tuition for four units, plus $3,000 per unit to assist with travel and participation costs.
About the Graduate Certificate
The Graduate Certificate of Forestry is delivered both online and in person and will consist of four units that can be undertaken over one or two years. The successful scholarship recipient would need to participate in each residential school and dedicate approximately 10 hours a week per unit (excluding residential school attendance). There is course also requires participants to successfully complete subject assessments for each unit.
Online classes commence the week of Monday 23 February 2026.

The Graduate Certificate of Forestry Australia has been developed collaboratively with the University of Tasmania, the Australian National University, The University of Melbourne, the University of South Australia and the University of the Sunshine Coast.
