2026 Trees & Timber Showcase Tour 

Following last year’s Trees & Timber Showcase Tour, the event returns in 2026 for its second year. Proudly hosted by Radial Timber Australia and Heartwood Unlimited, and generously supported by the Forestry Australia Growers Reserve Fund, we invite you to join us for this year’s field trip.

We welcome industry professionals, forest growers, and landowners to take part in a showcase tour of the Radial Timber sawmill and Heartwood-managed plantations in Yarram, Victoria. This event is designed to foster collaboration and share insights into sustainable practices as we work towards a circular economy through innovative processes.

The Showcase Tour includes:

  • A visit to one of our plantation sites to see a range of eucalyptus species grown for future resources
  • Operation of the innovative Radial Timber Sawmill
  • Inspection of the new Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) mill
  • Demonstration of firewood processing
  • Viewing of the bio-energy plant

Equipment: If possible, please bring your own hard hat and high-vis vest. A few spares will be available on the day. Please wear appropriate clothing, including sturdy shoes, a raincoat, and warm layers.

Meals: Light food and drinks provided. If you have any dietary requirements, please advise when registering.

Program:

9.30 am: Arrive at Radial Timber Australia, safety sign-in and briefing
10:00 am: Short video introduction
10.30 am: Tour of Radial Timber Mill
12:30 pm: Lunch
1:30 pm: Depart for local plantation (mini bus)
1:45 pm: Walking tour of plantation
3:15 pm: Return to Radial Timber, Yarram
3:30 pm: End of day
