IN THE NEWS: Regeneration funding misses burning issue

Forestry Australia Vice-President Dr Michelle Freeman wrote in The Age and Sydney Morning Herald addressing the issue of regeneration noting that the Victorian Government approach to management and funding misses addressing the extensive forest loss caused by multiple, landscape-scale fires over the last 20 years. Dr Freeman says, ‘It seems the government is choosing to pave the occasional pothole, while in fact the whole freeway requires resurfacing’.
